@Korbek “Whelp finally got her home. I left Ocala, FL at 830am eastern. Pulled into my driveway in TX at 2:15am Central, almost an 18 hour drive due to waiting out that tornado warning for 2 hours and an hour detour due to I12 closure”
Well, I’m glad you made it back home safely, that is one heck of a long day!
if nothing else this has certainly confirmed to you (I’d imagine) that the LC 500 is very capable of providing a high level of driving comfort over many miles/hours of cross country driving. There are many vehicles that in this scenario the fatigue factor would have been much higher.
For sure although I'm not a great test subject as I've driven many times 20+ hours in my SLK(SLC)s, GR86, and other not ideal roadtrip cars. To be honest the SLK is nearly as comfy as the LC other than being harsher over bumps. The LC should have more leg room in theory but due to the limited distance the steering wheel can telescope toward the driver, I find myself much closer to the pedals than I am in my SLC. It doesnt bother me at all and can scoot back when on longer low traffic stretches, but something to consider for folks thay want their elbows comfortably bent 90 degrees when holding the wheel at 9 and 3.
Dropped off for PPF, ceramic coating, and tint:

The LC is indeed a capable road tripper...great fuel economy for a V8 and plenty comfy enough; though I do find my Masi Granturismo to be quite a bit more comfy, especially anything over 7 to 8 hours.
I do find the fuel economy exceptional on the highway with the LC, kind of surprised me truthfully. It seems like the LC, LX and GX all have 21 gallon tanks. The combined on paper for the LC and LX600 are listed at 19 mpg and the GX550 at 17 mpg. The LC just seems to run past gas stations on the highway, what a great cruiser! I get the drag coefficients are different (LC is .33, GX is .35 and the LX is not listed) and gearing, but I sure wish the LX and GX would even get close to the range of the LC before refueling, at least they could increase the fuel tank volumes of the LX/GX for better range.
My first choice for road travel is the LC (comfort reasons also) but obviously luggage, weather and Pax make the final decision.

That passenger load can be a deal breaker. Cruised down to Savannah from ATL, almost 4 hour trip, with my GF, lil bro and his GF. Of course, we had to leave the LC at home. I sat in the back seat of the Masi GT and let lil bro take the wheel on the way down. At 6'1" 235lbs I was extremely comfy in the backseat. My GF stands 5' 128lbs, needless to say she was even more comfy. The LC takes an " L" in this category. 😬

My first 70 mile mainly interstate trip after delivery in normal mode was a hair over 30 mpg according to the LC and assumed it needed fixing by dealer for error.
AMSOME striking images. Looking at the before and after images had to think of Lexus before and of Chatgpt's prediction of long-term Gazoo Racing's after. It was just a flash/blink of my eyes, LOL only a floater.

Tested out a random cup/phone holder combo for road trips/longer drives. Not a fan of fan of clamping phone holders into vents or onto the passenger support bar, so wanted to give this style a try.
I may remove one of the phone arm bars to shorten it up after some use.
