The visual is fantastically awesome! Anticipating your report on the performance difference on-road everyday and the track when that happens.
So on street driving they really only bite when up to temp. Because they are race pads, the pedal is a little mushy if the brakes are cold, so street driving with these on needs a little extra caution and stopping distance. They also squeal and dust like CRAZY, but all of this is to be expected. Thankfully I am planning to keep these as track only pads + rotors. I have kept my stock rotors as they still have 50% life remaining and got a new set of stock pads to pair with them for non-track use. I'll switch back after my January track days.
When I was bedding the rotors and I got them up to temp and stepped on it, the bite was crazy as was the stopping distance. I was very surprised at how responsive they were at temperature and how quickly they locked the seat belt up on me. They definitely will be fit for purpose around the circuit!
Installed my new rotors (Brakenetic GT rotors) and pads (carbotech XP10 race pads) on the car to prep for next track day, bonus LC from @bankruptlex on instagram!

No one will ever accuse you of lack of purpose or expertly squeezing the max from this already great platform we drive. Any genetic relationship to that "wild and crazy" talent, Steve Martin? I mean you play the LC like he does the art of the banjo.
Both so alike but with such different presence. One dressed for for practice laps on the Grand Prix of Monaco street course for fun; the other on the street headed and attired for valet parking at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo before dinner.

Unboxed an exhaust kit and checked the pipe diameters so I can plan the tips accordingly.
Sadly it will be a few weeks or longer until I install and get some sound clips...stupid winter!
a few shots from my road trip from Texas to Pittsburgh last week.
apparently I ran through freshly oiled roads in Texas and the first Airbnb that I stayed at was nice enough to let me wash in the driveway. I was also pretty excited about being able to use the JDM rear fog lamp in the mountains of West Virginia during some dense fog advisories, definitely can only use that fog lamp when conditions permit, as it’s far too bright and distracting for other drivers, but it does look cool. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Man that light looks awesome. It is definitely bright! Any consideration to smoking the lens slightly w/ film? Then it could be usable more often and still provide visibility from behind

Thanks for sharing and glad you had a safe journey. You covered a lot of ground, how comfortable was the car for long stretches of highway driving?

thanks! I really find it quite comfortable. I had all season Michelin primacy tires installed on the factory wheels before the journey and that made a really nice difference a much softer ride which makes dealing with potholes and other poor road surfaces a better experience. I also find the Lane keeping feature, even though it’s very simple as far as technology goes extremely beneficial for long road trips to reduce fatigue of constantly having to have your hands on the wheel. I was averaging between 28 and 29 MPG, which is fantastic and added a very small little lumbar pillow for my lower back. I also recently had a Roberta 2 cup front lift installed, which reduces my anxiety so I can tackle steep curbs, speed, bumps, and other things that made for a much less anxious journey as well. Cheers. David
