Met a nice crew of Lexus V8 friends at cars & coffee today. 3 RCFs and an IS500. I saw them pulling in and ended up moving from where I'd parked to park with them. Funny how the V8s like to group together, but still the only LC!
I don't, but I do turn my throttle controller back to stock mode, whereas normally I keep it on 50% increased response. I engage the TRAC light much more frequently when it's raining out for sure so I don't think your experience is unique, altho I'm sure the run flats don't help, lol.
what throttle controller are you running? I just ordered a beatsonic that should arrive next week.
I can't imagine it looking any better than its current state but it sure sounds like it will. Nice job and thanks for sharing. Yours is definitely one to model! Curious, any future plans for the exhaust?
hey thanks! I’m really happy with it. Just like many of us who are lucky enough to have one of these, I find myself day dreaming about this car a lot. And sitting in my garage just staring at it.
On the exhaust I did swap the surrounds for the black trim. I think I have probably watched every single video on YouTube that exists about the LC and have studied every exhaust comparison. And I’ve come to the conclusion that the stock exhaust note in my opinion is the best of all of them. As someone who would love to take the exhaust off and put a new one on because I love to tinker and take things apart. I cannot bring myself to remove that stock exhaust or modify it in anyway because it sounds like a dream.
I just remembered I did disconnect the valve controllers on my exhaust have them all wrapped up nice and tight and waterproof but this way the valves are always open and I really like that.
Are you going to keep your old grill? I have a small crack in mine but it's not very noticeable, trying to find a clean used one.
I took my silver grill off pretty early. It’s basically brand new and in the factory box. I’d probably consider selling it if there was interest. Otherwise it’s gonna sit in my attic forever.

That’s definitely worth keeping. At some point, some poor soul (eg me!) in a front plate state will move south and be interested in a fresh unmolested front grille…!

ha!
I decided that even though I do live in a front plate state that I’ll pay any fines. I’ll never put a front plate on. Funny enough, between the Lexus, my M5 and my Focus St, the cops target and pull over the ST all the time. And I do have my front plate on it and it’s stock looking. It’s clearly a target car for cops and then they see me driving and you can tell they are like, o we thought you’d be a teenager. lol.
(Finally got around to taking these pics today)
WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID-OIL FUNNEL
What in the *Sam-Hell?* I know, right.
Windshield washer fluid and OIL should never be mentioned in the same sentence, but today my friends, I bring to you a pretty cool party trick...unless someone has already dropped this little GEM.
We all know how handy oil funnels can be when it's time for an oil change or just a quick topping up. If you already have a good funnel, you're all good. This is for those of us who don't want to drop the coin but still need a good funnel. I've used this 'cheap' work-a-round for many oil changes without a single drop spilled. Fitment is pretty much perfect, and the price ain't bad either.
BOTH work great but the Publix brand has a few mm's more thread which makes it slightly easier to screw on!

On my 2018 I've mounted a front cam that sits way back and on that cross bar...so there is no visible camera when you look at my grill. If I wasn't so fond of how that came out, I would definitely buy this "from cam" version from you...
I'd better stop looking at it, though. lol
