yall I simply CANNOT catch a break here. Brand new 285/35 tire less than 150 miles on it. I already submitted a Tire Rack Road Hazard claim for a new tire, but I mean, come on. still gonna cost me close to $100 for tax and installation of the new tire. UNnnnggHHH

It's probably patchable but it falls outside the "repairable" zone per Tire Rack Road Hazard warranty, and given it's a brand new tire, I'm going to have them replace it with a new tire entirely since it's eligible for it per their own documentation.

I'll patch this one and keep it as a backup though!

Too many construction and road hazard in FL?
My co-worker sends me pics of nail/screw in his tire every other month.

Pretty much, especially around me. In the last 2 years they've built 2 brand new full size hospitals within 5 miles of each other and are building something like 11,000 homes all around, plus all the stuff that goes along with (gas stations, car washes, storage facilities, etc.). Now they've started widening some of the roads to accommodate as well.

I plug those and never look back. I haven't had a single issue in doing this for decades...

Yeah, no choice as Florida has to deal with a still expanding population. Florida surpassed New York State in electoral college votes awhile ago. Still 10 shy of Texas (For now).😊

I feel your pain! Unfortunately, we face the same challenges with on-going construction and hazardous road conditions here in NC. In fact, this past Monday, I just swapped out the THIRD tire on my '23 LC (w/ less than 9K miles). The left front run flat tire has been replaced TWICE now due to foreign items (screw/nail) in the tread and the right front was damaged beyond repair when I hit a pothole this spring @ 65 MPH on the main I-40 expressway (by RDU Airport). It's so frustrating!

Added a 25 IS500 to the garage a few weeks back. It's been a blast to drive, and will make a fantastic daily, but it really makes me appreciate just how special the LC is after jumping back in.

Yea I hear you. I did really like the GSF. I do like the IS styling a bit more, as well as the slightly more compact size, and having some additional modern nicities like Carplay and 360 camera helps. The GSF was an fantastic driving car though. The IS will need some LCA bushings, springs and an exhaust to feel somewhat similar to my old ISF.

Door lights came in earlier today. Impressive clarity and no blue edges.
