On the Chip: I got one that spread quickly into a crack across and the windshield needed to be replaced. EXPENSIVE! >$2000.
Most of the cost was neither the windshield itself or the install - it was the calibration of the sensor stack by the Lexus dealership. My insurance helped, but still.
So if you can defer a replacement with a decent chip repair then do it....
You need to look into adding windshield replacement to your comprehensive. Cost me about $8 extra a month but damn it's worth it. My windshield replacements cost me nothing.
Pic I took today, slapping on the Pilot Sport All-Season's. 255/40/21’s.
Who else is a fan of mobile install? Well worth the $35 per tire. I'm eating breakfast while my guy Jarvis is doing God's work.... 😅

When you order from Tire Rack you can select the mobile install, they will then give you a list of local installers that have a mobile service. You can also select whatever day you like and the time. There's a Discount Tire that's not far from me so that was my selection. The cool thing is I have been getting the same installer for about 7 years now. Love that kid...fast, on time, professional, and knows how to balance a tire! Beats the hell out of sitting in a tire shop for half the day.
I might add, it's the perfect time for me to remove the wheels and check out other components. And I prefer to remove and install/torque my own wheels.

But it's free at the store and a good reason to drive and show off the LC, mine isn't a daily.
I drive the LC daily and sitting in a tire shop, for me, is probably akin to the worst experience you can think of, personally!
NO THANKS, lol.
I bring the shop to me; they have everything you need in the mobile install trucks.
(old pic...my same installer for years, Jarvis...slapping on the Conti All-Season Sport Extreme's 355/30/20's on the Maserati GT-HRE wheels)
