Really an odd comparison though TBH. Theyre Japanese but thats it. Two seat hybrid sports/supercar vs GT car with a (small) back seat lol. But hey its an LC on video so I'll take it.
@Korbek “NSX vs LC. My opinion? LC all day everyday.

Agreed. It’s like the many comparisons of the LC 500 with a Porsche 911 or Corvette, it never made a lot of sense to me.
I would argue that a comparison with an Aston Martin or Bentley Continental GT would actually be more appropriate.

They dont want that. Some Astons are faster but theres no brand new aston or bentley that remotely competes with an LC on price. Equivalent model year comparisons will almost always favor the LC IMO. And dont get me started on maintenance costs and reliability!
Ive never seen an NSX in person even at Cars/Coffee in an affluent area.
I was lucky enough to drive one for 5+ years (~30K miles). Although it was very different from my current LC, I loved my NSX and at times, wish I'd never sold it!
Crazy that one of the commenters on that video says that he works for a Lexus dealership in Southern California and they’re selling them for 25-40K over MSRP

Verification of asking price this high would be sweet. I'm wavering, but on the cusp of viewing mine as an asset I need to protect rather than enjoy. Going to have the joy first is the current verdict.
This article is a testament to what the LC is and what it is not trying to be. To be compared to GT cars 3 times its price from these marques tells you all you need to know. And this line rings true: you can enjoy more of the throttle more of the time [because it isnt overpowered for public roads and has 10 gears].
Also this: "truly, madly, deeply individual driving experience"
So true. And I believe the author is a fan of Savage Garden based on that line. Seems too on the nose to be a coincidence. Kinda a great song to do a tribute video to the LC if anyone were so inclined.

I happen to come across this comparison review about a year (or so) ago and posted it on this site as I was impressed by the reviewers genuine admiration for the LC 500. In their summary remarks they said that in day to day and real life usage the LC 500 was the most fun out of this group. As that’s how these cars will actually be driven “most” of the time, that was quite the compliment. It clearly held its own in very august GT car company.
