Probably similar to the cost of insurance for a AMG GT 63/ Porsche GTS or turbo/ Aston Martin DB 12/ Corvette ZR1/ Maserati Granturismo Trofeo- Modena and so forth.

@Korbek
“For street driving at legal speeds (even up to 20mph over the posted limit), the LC is MORE than fast enough and has the benefit of being far more refined and comfortable”

Yep!
However in reality Lexus has found itself in a numbers battle in order to attract buying customers. Things have gotten skewed to the point that if you can’t do 0 to 60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds/top speed at least 180 mph/minimum 600 or 700 hp people apparently aren’t interested in what you have to offer.

I will take comfort over "fastness" any day.

I'm totally in this guys corner with his design comments favoring the LC.

This suggests to me that Lexus is pursuing the LFA high performance track ready direction and purpose rather than the premium tier refined comfortable GT persona of the LC 500. 800 horsepower seems silly to me (No doubt I’m in the minority) but this is what buyers are clamoring for apparently. I believe the LC 500 got so much right in the overall scheme of things.
YES. And 1) I get corporate reasoning on this. 2) "I believe the LC 500 got so much right in the overall scheme of things" 3) The Sport Concept silhouette seems generic; the LC distinctive. AND timeless.

Ha!
Same here and we’re both in the minority it seems. His video comments section ripped him a new one. Roughly 70% disagreed with his preference for the LC 500. I also believe that it is a timeless elegant design.

the things he dislikes about an LC is that he can't afford one.

To be fair this reviewer loves the LC 500 and called it a phenomenal car. His complaints were nitpicking in scale. One example, not having a powered trunk opener. He admits he could not find any major issues. In the big picture scheme of things he finds the LC 500 to be rather amazing.

Video creator here! I am the owner of this 2024 LC500. Love the car to death. Don't think there's anything more special than this car at this price. Beautiful looks, analog technology with a touch of modernization, 5L V8, and more to love. Definitely check out the page for other videos and there will be much more content moving forward!

It's subjective and not meaningful in some ways, but I believe the LC body is more aligned with the upcoming 911 Turbo S design than the Sport Concept Lexus. Just my tastes. Porsche 911 Turbo S | Porsche USA. EDIT: 270K base price.

Side view or profile of the Porsche 911 Turbo S in Vanadium Gray Metallic.
A Porsche 911 Turbo S in Vanadium Gray Metallic and a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet in Jet Black Metallic parked next to each other.

Yes, rounded and curves rather than angular/ straight lines. LC 500 has an organic aesthetic vibe appeal.

Are you a disgruntled former 911 owner? I know there are former owners in this forum.

No offence intended. Only a suggestion that the design elements were similar at the world class level.
