That's a shame, as he's pretty positive on the car! Honestly, though, in the UK these cars were never going to sell well, just because of the tax situation. As I understand it, for the coupes, the hybrid outsold the V8 in that market.

JayEmm is an excellent car reviewer and intimately (Driven them all) familiar with all the top tier Ferrari/ Aston Martin/ Porsche/ Mercedes and so on. He’s done three separate reviews of the Lexus LC 500 and absolutely loves and adores this car.. He raves about it with genuine enthusiasm and admiration.

 

He exhibited the genuine big grin of every reviewer I've seen when the horses are spurred no matter their perspective. Just one element of our design experience.

gonna be in the upper 80s here in Sacramento in a few days..I knew it was going to be a short winter as we had major oak tree damage/removal and Im sitting on 3 cords of Primo split,aged oak.

A new video from Japan came up with the LC500 race car in post #105. That got me looking into it again and I came across this well-done video showing some of the "impressive moments" from the three years the car competed. Not exactly our car, but it’s still fun watching a similar-looking race car based on the LC500 out on the race track. The video translates well too since it’s mostly just good music and racing sounds.

The LC 500 Super GT race car:

• Racing series: Super GT
• All the races were at Japanese circuits like Suzuka, Fuji Speedway, Motegi, Okayama, and Autopolis.
• Class: GT500 (the top class, similar in speed to prototypes)
• Debut: 2017 season
• Replaced: the Lexus RC F GT500
• Teams running it: TOM’S, LeMans, SARD, Cerumo, and Bandoh
• Cars entered per race: typically 6 LC 500s
• Although it looks like the road car, the GT500 version is basically a full carbon-fiber prototype with a 2.0-liter turbo race engine under Super GT rules.

Championships and results
Total (2017–2019):

• 24 races
• 14 wins
• 6 pole positions
• 2 driver championships
• Multiple team championships

Why it only ran for 3 years

Super GT introduced a new rules package (Class One regulations) starting in 2020.
Because of that, Lexus replaced the LC race car with the Toyota GR Supra GT500, even though the LC had been very successful.
