Well, if it isn’t genuine leather material, what do you suspect it is? Lexus state they do not use the synthetic Nuluxe in the LC 500 interior, ,only leather.

 

mine is semi-analine leather with the touring package.

 

I've posted this so many times but the only leather in the car is the outer part of steering wheel, shift ****, the headrests, and the front-facing and top-facing parts of the seats. Everything else is synthetic, my dude.

I'm good with whatever synthetic or leather scrap/synthetic blend or whatever it is on the dash, door panels, etc. Real tanned cow hide would shrink and eventually pull away from the dash, wrinkle, etc. I dont get the fascination with genuine leather in automotive applications. It isnt nearly as durable and low-maintenance as some of the faux-leather products, which give you the look and 99% of the feel with 100% less headache.

I LOVE my LC! Took my bro and my 9yr old niece out today to show it to them on some back roads. It's the first time I've seen her put her phone down and get off instagram. Not because she loved the car though. I looked back after a couple twistier turns and she had her head bowed and palms together saying a prayer for survival! 🙏

It's a good thing I never got the opportunity to take her out in my 2022 vette! LOL

 

To clarify, I am not saying you are wrong. I was just referencing what Lexus has stated in the past. I know they are very fond of their synthetic “Nuluxe “
material and that’s very likely what is utilized where genuine leather isn’t found. As Korbek mentioned it could be superior in terms of durability and low maintenance.

 

It isn't Nuluxe--- but it's certainly not leather. I've taken a magnifying glass to it when I treated my old LC's leather.

Here is the best I could come up with with regard to Lexus describing the material of the interior dashboard (Last paragraph). This is a description of the 2020 inspiration series. Perhaps this was an exception, I don’t really know.

Incredible!!!....they must have done this for the Inspiration Series! It even says the seats are full aniline leather....NOT Semi-aniline.

I would love to sit inside one of those 2020 Inspiration Series. It sounds like they went full-upscale!

The Nori Green exterior with that very beautiful Inspiration interior color scheme is one of the best the LC 500 has had. I’ve always believed that interior scheme should have been an ongoing option

Note I'm not claiming the seats aren't 100% leather all over.
