The 2026 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Edition is BETTER than a Mercedes Benz SL43
Pretty much the usual from this known reviewer. I don’t know why the SL43 gets mentioned, since there’s no real attempt to compare the two in the video.

Its better than an SL 53 and SL 63 too IMO. Better build quality. No gigantic monolith tablet as a center console. Physical HVAC buttons. Lower cost. More reliable. And doesnt start creaking and squeeking 2 days into ownership. Oh, and NA V8.
I think about the only pros for the new SLs would be speed if you care, and larger trunk.

Accurate for sure. It's sad to say but the LC 500 and LFA were anomalies. I dont see anything that special ever coming out of Lexus again.
Then again you have MB releasing a C63 with a turbo 4 popper in recent years. The sad reality is that cars are becoming ever more disposable and if the powers that be have their way, the average person wont own a car anymore anyway.
The future for car enthusiasts does not look great. I'll just ride off into the sunset in my LC and call it a wrap.
I’m concerned about what will be offered by Lexus in the Performance category since most are being discontinued. When I go to the showroom, will they steer me towards the Toyota GR GT? Is it really a “Grand Tourer” compared to the LC (although I’m sure it’s outside my price-point even if you can get one). Besides, that type of performance would be overkill for me and traveling. Not saying I’m not satisfied with the LC, but without innovation and a similar emotional driving experience it seems they are dying.

Hopefully there will be a new Supra / SC along at some point and hopefully they (a) have more difference than just the badge and (b) aren't limited to a turbo 4-pot, no matter how powerful...
Gorgeous spec but I still have concerns about trying to keep that beautiful white interior clean! I have enough of a challenge with the toasted caramel interior on my current LC convertible, especially since I drive with the top down 95% of the time.
