Can't believe how terrible that dash reflection is....probably even worse for those with the toasted caramel interior!
Like the HUD, I’m usually looking through it not at it. But there are times when it is pretty bad, for example, pulling out of parking decks when the sun hits the windshield causing momentary blindness that makes me want to hit the brakes.
Interesting they used the LC Convertibles on the track. At the LPDS I attended, they only had the Coupes. With all three cars being discontinued, will they also discontinue the LPDS program? No 2026 events I've seen scheduled yet.
"The only car that Lexus has left today that has the highest craftsmanship and reliability is the LC 500."
I have said this a few times this last year....Lexus has seriously lost their way and I don't think I would buy one of their vehicles at the moment if the LC was gone.

The Car care nut is 100% on point. The LC 500 is the purest example of the old Lexus edict of “the relentless pursuit of perfection” of the current Lexus lineup. Even more so than the LX. and GX models. The LC 500 is “old school” Lexus in the best connotation of that term.
Yup. I also don't have a good feeling about Lexus and where they're going.
While my LS was in for service and waiting for parts to arrive, I get to drive a <5000 miles 2025 RX350 loaner for couple days. I did about 200 miles on that thing and I swear I couldn't wait to get my car back. The buzzing from the V4 and the shudder of auto start/stop engine was driving me crazy. The buttons on the steering wheel....they were so badly implemented that I didn't even bother with it. To turn off the HUD, I had to pull the car over and dive into the infotainment screen. For a moment, I thought I was getting old and couldn't deal with the tech.
The only vehicle left for me is the LX600/700H. When I test drove it a couple years back, it left a very good impression and probably the only vehicle I would buy at this point. But then again, it has that horrible auto start/stop engine crap(I think the BMW auto start/stop is smoother) and a V6TT that can blow up at any moment.
Doesn't Toyota have a joint effort with BMW of the B58 engine they use on the Supra? Why don't they just use this engine more to power their vehicles like the NX/RX/TX rather than using the turbo 4cyl.
Hopefully auto start-stop disappears from more cars in the US in the future. Though ICE cars are also heavily skewing towards hybrids which do generally handle that more smoothly.

So contrary to my perception of the Lexus lure and heritage in April 2025 when I chose the LC to own. I see in retrospect how lucky I was to hang line on the crescent moon's southern hook of “the relentless pursuit of perfection"

100% on the RX's with the 4's. Just gave my oldest daughter our's because of similar issues. The 4 is great in the NX but the RX is underpowered and loud. Also agree on the steering wheel mounted buttons and HUD.
Love the LX except for the auto start/stop. Will install the start/stop bypass this spring (4D Tech brand). The GX Overtrail+ we are picking up tomorrow doesn't have the auto start/stop (believe it was removed starting in 2024).
