2008 isf wont start!!!
End of day three and they still have yet to figure it out. All the service advisor can tell me is something is not communicating. I wanted to be an a** and say well no ***t, but I didn't. So they are now going to put their electrical specialist on it after he is done with a hybrid.
I don't know what to tell ya. That's why i hate taking my car to the dealership. sometimes it can be a simple fix but they're not good. It sucks that you had no other option. I would think the immobilizer or whatever transmits the signal for the fob is causing the issue. I'm not sure what the part/ecu is called.
About the techstream, does the car have to be able to at least get into acc mode to be able to use it? I was reading something about plugging in techstream then the turning on the car. If that's the case it would work because you can't even get the car in acc mode much less start it.
Is it able to read prior to acc or start?

Read this thread. As I pondered this tonight, I remembered that thread and it sounds a whole lot like your situation - battery died, car won't start at all after replacing it. It might actually help your dealer figure it out.

I am really getting tired of dealing with this dealership. Not once since I towed my car there on Friday have I gotten a call or update that I did not initiate the conversation for. They have now had half a day Friday, all day Saturday, all day Monday and all day today to diagnose the car. From what I understand no one person is continually working on it. They are just getting to it here and there.
So I just texted the service advisor because it is the end of the day and he has not contacted me for an update, and he says the tech manager is working with the techs to submit the info to Lexus technical assistance for further diagnosis. I asked did you check the email I sent? (the information from the link above that lobuxracer provided) Haven't got a response from that. I feel like they are either just not giving it 100% effort or they have techs that are not capable from the sounds of it. Can't get an answer as to whether or not their "electrical expert" has tried to diagnose it yet or not either. Is it me? Or should they have not had this tracked down by now after having it 3 1/2 days?

It's not you....they aren't nearly trying as hard as they can on it. Even though I hate doing this, surprise visit them and demand to see the car. I'm sure you'll be furious if you see everything together/untouched/no one working on it.
If they are anything like the dealership here, they have a huge bay where they can fit 30-40 cars and a technician working at every single bay. Whatever vehicle is next in line, that technician gets that vehicle and does not stop working on it til it's complete, period. If they are incapable of doing the job, another capable technician will step in, or in some cases (rare), they'll have to bring in a specialist from another dealership/etc.
Either way, I think lobuxracer has all but gave you/them the info they need. If everything else has been checked, I believe there's your problem.
If they haven't touched it tomorrow, I'd pick up the vehicle and do the diagnosis under the battery tray/steering ecu yourself. Very straight forward from the looks of it if you have basic mechanic skills.

I always work on my vehicles myself, but I do not have the tools (readers/techstream) or very good knowledge to chase electrical issues. I hate electrical issues. Epically trying to chase shorts and things of that nature.
So this is the email that I just typed up that I am going to shoot to them. Sending it to the service advisor I've been dealing with and copying the general manager of service. We'll see what they come back with.

That really sucks you're dealing with a bad dealership. The Lexus dealerships where I live have some of the best service in our city when compared to other brands.
Also, not really relevant, but you might want to consider covering up the extensive personal info you have in your screenshot (job, contact numbers, etc) haha.
