Fall 2020 starts on September 22. when do you guys think we will start seeing the new 2021 IS inventory at the Lexus dealerships?

 

No earlier than October, rumored to be November.

Looks like Lexus is finally releasing new images and more media (albeit it is just one image). This is the first new official image we've seen since those horrendous Circuit Red interior shots from June. Hopefully more stuff comes out in the coming weeks.

It would be nice. I hope they tune the V8 to be more powerful. The current RCF isn't even as fast as the M340 and the new M3 will pull low 3s 0-60. Maybe they will call it the IS500 instead and have it battle the M340 instead of the M3 which would make more sense.

 

Looks like the cars are finally being displayed at some Lexus events. Lexus really nailed the style of this refresh. Most visually appealing car in the segment imo and it will most likely be my next purchase; nothing else in this segment comes close to my complete package the way this does.

I love the look of this car. Really hope the V8 rumors are true

 

Yeah the exterior is definitely good for a refresh. Wish the interior had that same energy. Hope we get footage and more shots on the interior (in different colors) soon.

 

I like the interior changes. I don't like red interiors much so that doesn't enter my mind. If I wanted a red interior, I'd have an issue. I like the changes to the interior though......touch screen, track pad, the change to the gauge, the diamond pattern on the door panels. I'm not sure how I feel about the round air vents, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker that's for sure. To me, the interior is improved.....I even think the cup holders are in a slightly better position. It's not a perfect interior, still lacks storage.....hopefully they added an extra 12v outlet, but I doubt it.

 

I'm impressed, it looks sexy in Ultrasonic Blue. They may have done away with the 3IS' upswept body line that flows from the side skirt into the bumper and taillight, but the current design is more angular and aggressive as a result. I still really like the look of the 3IS and I prefer some of its design elements over the refresh, but they really knocked it out of the park on the refresh.

Now, give me that V8 / TTV6, AWD, folding rear seats and a price that's around the TLX Type-S / Genesis G70 / Infiniti Q50 RS, please and thank you Lexus.

 

How come the wheels on the white one looks huge like 20” and lowered almost no gap in wheelwell.

 

Am I tripping?...the cup holders look like they haven't moved. I've sat in a 2015 IS250 and the cup holders were def not conveniently-placed for driver and passenger.

 

The cup holders are moved. It's just an RC center console with different trim pieces on it.
