Call me when they build the ISF, until then I have no interest in anything Lexus does. Also, I have zero interest in any other Asian manufacturer except Lexus. Otherwise I shall remain with the Germans.
Got an email ad from Lexus for the new LC 500 CONVERTIBLE!!!
That design is a thing of beauty, especially the ‘Inspiration Series’, a limited production of 100 cars in a gorgeous blue with white interior.
$119,000 is well above the IS range, but still, it looks good enough to ignore the stupid Lexus front grill.
Would I trade my Jaguar X150, with its sexier lines, for it? No, but I wouldn’t mind having it in my stable.
Just upgraded from the crappy 7" OEM navigation system to a 10.3" Android navi with wired/wireless Carplay, to me this is the "2022" IS system. Touch screen + Siri + **** support.
I'm extremely satisfied... the old system was useless except showing me the fuel consumption...

The current IS-F-Sport is also offered with a beige interior (not the Flaxen shown earlier). I don't know if the facelift model will continue with the beige.
But I too am not a fan of the bright red option. It's the same as in the Camry XSE and has already been running in the ES F-Sport and GS F-Sport for a few years. Not really a new interior color, just parts-bin cost savings for the brand. I have Rioja in my IS and love it. It's probably one of the nicest features of the car and gets the most comments from others. A shame it's being discontinued.

Spam from Ken Shaw Lexus for the 2021 refresh seems to indicate Rioja Red is an option for the non-F-Sport.
That could be some great news if true. What has me worried is that dealer could be using info intended for Canada or another country. Note the spelling of "colour."
I liked my Rioja. It seems like only yesterday when I had my 2016 brand new off the lot. Was a fun experience. Had some of my best times around those years.
I believe the F Sport and Dynamic Handling Package will have 19" staggered.
The non sport will have 18" but i do not know if staggered. if i had to guess, i'd say no. would make sense since uniform size keeps cost down.
The IS has for a long time had staggered for all RWD models (except some base models in Canada from 2006-2010 with 16's) and F-Sport AWD models, with non-F-Sport AWD's being the only (excluding the aforementioned base RWD models) ones without staggered. It's possible they may change that for 2021, but I kind of doubt it.
I do know with most of the german makes in this class, the base model gets standard size wheels all the way around while they give the sport package staggered options. It seems this is the better option for "normal" buyers who favor low maintenance and low cost. Given Lexus's apparent push to try and offer similar packaging options for marketing consideration, it would seem logical for Lexus to follow suit in this dept. as well. Though like I said I do not know. I do know many still prefer the squared wheels set up as they can rotate tires and also spend less on tires.
I do know Lexus is now using german-style wheel bolts for the 2021 model (as opposed to traditional Japanese style lug nuts as per tradition) so it'll be interesting to see where else they go.

yeah it's bad enough that you can no longer get the fsport with all it's enhancements on the 300 models going forward, but I too bet it will be a squared set up on the IS 300. I hate the stance without the staggered set up. May just have to go to the 350 even though I like the turbo engines.
If I were in the market for this vehicle when it comes out would I need to be concerned with the infotainment system since it's new with Apple CarPlay? Kind of like the 2014?
