Is part only compatible with 2018-2023 Lexus models? (89611-11011Replaces89611-11010)
You just need the adpater harness. See Nigels pictures he posted before. As to where to acquire the harness. I think a CL member was selling them not long ago. You'll have search for harness on some ignition switch threads.
Understood, thank you
Was concerned perhaps part 89611-11011 would not fit the earlier models due to different opening etc.
So part is just not "plug-N-Play" for the earlier models, and need the harness to have part functional, but will fit the opening on earlier models.

Thanks again Mike!
The entire assembly fits without issue?
Harness needed to install late model push button ignition (OEMPart89611-11011) in 2008-2013 IS
Received my concave button from Japan last week. It fit my GS with no problems. While at it I also ordered a 2016 GS350 shift **** to replace my 2013 full leather "syn" what ever Lexus is using. You'll also need the 2016 shift boot to make it work.
As for the adapter it should be plug and play. The ones I've seen on the other threads are blue wire harness's. The OP has a black wire harness listing. So you'd have to comment on there on his pinout, and crimp skills .

Yep the harness doesn't take up really any space and there is more than enough space behind the dash to accommodate it. My CT required the harness. I know the person that makes the harnesses and they are quality. He's in multiple groups I'm in and i talk to him quite often on mods..etc. When I bought my switch it came with the harness from Japan. The only thing you lose by going to the updated style is that little LED indicator light that is in the middle top of the button... but honestly I haven't missed it in favor of a much better looking/feeling push button.
The adapter is literally plug and play. All you do is clip it inline with your car's harness and then into the push button switch. Takes 5 seconds to do.
Came across the following video showing installation of aftermarket push start button (does not show the ing the installation of the push button assembly, just push button cover;
