Default Capturing the glacier

Hey guys, I went out today on a mission to try to catch the glacier frost color. It's so hard to get a good picture of how the car really looks. I got a few good ones.

Enjoy Some look blue, some look pink.

What happens if you upped the exposure? The pictures are a bit dark.

Than the car looks pretty white and didn't capture and of the blue. Darker was the only way to capture that metalic look. I want a new camera bad, I bet that would help.

It's a very unique color.

It turns blue, then silver, then white -- then once, with JavyLSU, we saw his car turn purply-pink during Taste of Lexus as the sun was setting. Freaky...

As Dolly would say, "it has a coat of many colors"

You did a good job, I can see the blue-ish hues in the 4th pic. I remember when I was at the dealer looking at this color up close when you look at the paint you can see the dots of blue in the paint. Cool color, it was my first choice but when a Lux came in (in FL a rare thing to happen) with all my options in Tungsten I could wait no longer.

Thanks

For me I wanted either Starfire pearl or the glacier frost. They had a glacier frost when I went to look at the IS at the dealer and when I came back a few weeks later it was gone So it was between SGM and Tungsten. My salesman knew I wanted the glacier frost so he found one on another lot and brought it over for me. It made my day!

Then 3 weeks after I got mine they got an 08 starfire on black with everything I have and I was like doh! I love the new rim style, but I also liked the 4k discount, hehe.

Starfire pearl is white pearl. Glacier Frost Mica is the primer and clear coat color. IMO, the only time it looks right is during dusk or dawn. The color looks awkward indoors, midday sunlight or cloudy days. You really have to ricochet the light of the car to get a good pic.
