From the criteria I have seen outlined in other threads (there are more than a few going on this subject currently), my car didn't qualify for it.
Number 1. I do NOT live in Florida
Number 2. I am not the original owner.
Number 3. There is no record or any indication that an extended warranty was purchased by the original owner, and obviously no indication that it was transferred to me.

However, when I called (3 weeks ago, and 2 days prior to actually having the recall work performed on the car), the lady that I spoke with told me that she would get the $500 gift card out to me, whithin 30-60 days. That conversation with 800-25-LEXUS took about 15 minutes, and she put me on hold and came back several times. I did buy the car in July, 2010 and remember someone posting that you had to have purchased it before August, 2010. I don't know if that's true or not, but do know that she said that I had a gift card coming. I just wish it would hurry up and get here so I can order my HKS exhaust!!!!

 

I called about a month ago since I had the recall done in November to see where my GC was, and they said by March everyone should have them. Just called today since I haven't received it yet, and they had an incomplete address for me, so they will be resending the GC. I purchased the car in fall of '09 from private seller and purchased the Platinum Extended Warranty before the original one expired.

is already mid. of March, does anyone still havent received their $500 gift card? or i m the only one who havent received the gift card yet? I called Lexus like 2 months ago, and their respond is that i should receive it in March. but what I receive is another recall letter from Lexus.... should I call Lexus again? I actually bought my IS350 5 months ago, and did the spring recall last Dec., so i m eligilable to get the gift card right? my ride only hv the pwertain warrenty.

 

I havent got anything yet, if you call them again, let me know what they say.

 

Where are the details that talk about that offer? Was it a TSB?

It doesnt apply to is250 drivers rwd or awd only for is350 drivers who are candidates for the recall.

I believe that you are eligible for $500.00 gift card only if your car was purchased with extended warranty.
