Unhappy Window Problem.....

Hey im having problems with my driver side window buttons it doesnt work for the rear (sometimes the passenger side also) windows so i cant control them unless i go push the the button on the actuall door. When i press to lock and unlock the windows one or all the buttons start flashing and and the automatic full open or close doesnt work sometimes either. Anyone have this problem before?

Did you recently uplug your battery?

If so, you need to manually row each window down and up.

Go to each of the windows and row it down with the switches on the door.

Also, warranty doesn't mean its a 1 time deal and can be used by 1 dealership visit.

*I wonder if theirs a short somewhere, sorry i didnt read your first post all the way through. If all fails go see the dealer.

this did happen to me once. it was after waiting a few days for my new window tints to dry. i just lowered each window with each window's OWN switch and then i was able to control it with the driver side right after. goodluck!

Actually, the flashing lights on the window switch, non-functioning auto-up and down, and problems controlling the other windows from the driver's switch all suggest that your initial diagnosis (battery disconnected) is correct. There is a good thread covering this issue in the FAQ thread stickied at the top of the forum.

If you individually open and close every window then open the sunroof and hold the button down for 10 seconds it resets your system thats what ive had to do in the past

Yeah warranty transfers as long as the cars date of purchase basic warranty is 4years or 50K miles. You can check the date of manufacture on the driver door jam and it should be close to the sales date or you can call Lexus and find out.

Glad it worked. Just curious, did you disconnect the battery or remove the fuse?
