Default Window Problem

My automatic windows seem to be disabled on my SC. Does anyone know how to enable this function?

Make sure you have not pushed the window lock button.

Have you checked the fuse?

Fuses checked, window button clear. Might be electrical. Let me know if anybody has any ideas. I've heard with hondas and acuras you can disable and enable the automatic window up/down feature by opening the driver door and rolling the window up then down but I was wondering if anyone knew how to do it to a Lexus or Toyota.

Assume you're saying the one-touch "automatic" function isn't working , but windows work normally, otherwise.

Never heard of this or the "secret" mechanics way of disabling that function, but I guess someone could have deactivated something like that.

I was wondering if it was a C-Best setting the dealer could dial back in for you?

If its just the automatic function that isn't working, all you need to do is roll down the window about an inch, then roll it back up and hold the window switch in the UP position for 5 or 6 seconds. You have to do this for each window. If that doesn't work, roll the window ALL the way down and then roll it back up and hold the switch in the UP position for 5 or so seconds.

Thank you FrayKay. Interesting. Assuming the same procedure will turn OFF the automatic feature as well... yes?

Hope this solves your problem, exesc430.
