Help, grill thing
I think it's call weather strip or something. anyway I was bored, so I wanted to remove the grill, just for a try.
I have no idea how to return the strip thing back, I'm sure the solution is so dumb
can't wait to use the "
" emoticon.

that thing is so easy to put back on. get needle nose pliers and pull out the plastic and reinsert it into the rubber piece.

if you use pliers be gentle, you dont want to deform the plastic tabs that hold it onto the grille holes. they won't work anymore.
this rubber piece i am sure is to help quiet the vehicle, and you should always keep it on the vehicle. plus, it keeps a bunch of junk from getting into your clean engine compartment.
the clips keep it in place. spend the extra 10 minutesa nd do it right guys. :O

take the clips off from the car, install it back on the rubber piece before installing the whole thing back on the car
I have done it 10 times so this is the right way to do it.
(just dont break the clips when you are trying to pull it off the car)

Same here. I didn't really bother putting it back in the clips. I just laid it on top and closed the hood. It's not sticking out or anything and doesn't seem to cause any problem.

Yea, the way to remove these seals is to pull directly up where those tabs are inserted...that way the tab comes with the seal.

Now this sounds like the REAL way to do it. I'm going to try it tomorrow, thanks for that info.
