Guys - the negativity is pointless. Some people want this feature, and they're willing to pay for it. I know people who've dropped $14K on stuff I thought was stupid, but it doesn't change their right to do it.

With that in mind - lets stay on topic and stop the judgmental comments about price, utility, and other zero value add statements.

Drunkebuda - please update us on this when you hear from Sewell!

This would be a great thing to have if you are in Montana, Dakotas or those snowy New England states. I know I would get it. Fortunately, living in California has its advantages. Not getting buried by snow is one of them

I am amused as people will post here how hard they negotiated to get the absolute best deal on their IS, often fighting for the last $100 or so, yet some folks will toss $1400 on remote start with nary a thought.
i bought my is msrp price on the car and i didnt fight with the dealer because i already know that it was the best deal i got. Like i said before not everyone will be wanting this. I just want this for extra points at hin and car shows. If all goes well i might order it and try it out before HIN here in WA. The fob also looks cool. Not everthing is for everyone and each person have their own view of how they should send their money . I am a college student right now and i really dont care cuz i dont got any bills and cash to spend

Everyones whining about how it's so expensive, but for some of the guys up north who live in snow infested areas', maybe spending $1400 is more practical than the guys down in Miami spending $4,000 on rims which dont do anything but look "cool"...? Just a thought.

I'm getting the feeling that the site above isn't even a "production" site (notice the "beta"?). It is also significantly different from Sewell's other site (www.lexus-parts.com).

It is in fact Sewell. Follow your link, click beta site. click keys, then IS350 then keys again and there you are. It's so simple! (insert sarcasm here)

just messing with you Gernby

I'm fully aware that it is a Sewell website. What I'm disputing is that this is not there production website. The beta site looks like a new site that they are developing which probably doesn't have production data.

I'm a developer, and my development and test sites only get fresh data loads from the production environments a couple times a year at best.
