Is there any way to stop the engine from shutting off when entering the vehicle using the Remote start. Seems really stupid to have to restart the car.

its great idea but its soooo slooooowwww.....i never think to use it since im almost near the car when.it decides to fulfill the connection.....surprising lexus wouldnt remedy this as it would make resubscribing attractive otherwise its not worth it

Really stupid, many car manufacturers figured it out. The dealer told me it was for safety, but if you don't have the key, you can't drive the car.

 

Stepping on the brake is required to shift into gear. So pressing the start button is the only extra step compared to other remote start systems. Maybe it's just me butI don't think it's stupid. Especially if there's a thief in the area just waiting for an opportunity. And driving off without the key fob is possible. Having the RX turn off when the handle is touched after it's been remote started is not such a bad idea after all.

 

Idea of Remote Start is to Warm your Car in winter and cool your car in summer before you enter the car, shutting off the Car is a safety feature.

 

Can you start the Vehicle from the key fob, dealer said you could but never told me how.
