Yes this is right on the j52 connector pin 1 is for ntsc dvd video image signal,
pin 4 is signal ground, pin #5 is shielded body ground, but what you dont see is pin #3 and Pin #6 which is needed for avc-lan communication, i already tried hooking up just 1,4 and 5 to plug j52 to a dvd player but the display dosent know anything is there, it must first talk to the nav and tells it "hey i am playing a picture if someone presses the disc button allow my signal to show up on the screen, then the nav displays that picture , to be able to allow you to switch to that video input, you have communicated with the navi by this data bus,

if the wire is there then there must be a diagram for it, i would think at least.
can anyone with a ml edition post a detailed pic of the back of the nav unit with the j52 plugged in? PLEASE!!!!

alright...then why does the factory wiring diagram for the ml edition on page 544 of the service manual not show any pins assignments for pin 2, 3, and 6?
if the wire is there then there must be a diagram for it, i would think at least.

pin#1 is ntsc dvd signal
pin #2 nothing
[B]pin#3 avc-lan communication signal
pin#4 signal ground
pin#5 shielded body ground
pin#6 avc-lan communication signal
I know they are the same because nav-tv unit is compatable with all 2006 models lexus RX, GS, IS, ect,
What we need to do is figure what this avc-lan signal is, and how to make a circuit to produce the same, I don't know why it is not on the IS250 wiring diagram but I am very sure it is there

hopefully we will not need the cable.
most of the car connectors are made by AMP.
i am going to try and get my hands on this connector once i get it from car lost...and then i can make an order from amp and then we can all just make this cable at home...
of course that is if it works..
