not sure that's accurate. can you find the post? what dealer is going to sell you an ML changer when most dealers (in the mid-atlantic) aren't even ordering ML vehicles.
the "it's too expensive for you" response from my dealer was a bit suspicious, so I have asked them to give me a price. However if they require me to replace speakers and subs, I won't do it, that's absurd...unless it's <$900...doubtful though.

i got a respons from avelectronics that they're still working on the mod. 6-8 weeks. Thats not very comforting. I got a reasurrance from John that the mod from NAVTV works great. He didn't say anything about the audio being FM modulated. I'll ask him about it. Adding the ML seems like a total waste. It will easily cost you 2 g's to get that all installed in your car. THey would have to change the existing amp, deck, and add a center speaker into your car. Seems like a lot of work just to only watch DVDs in the car. With the NAVTV mod you can do whatever you want (ie DVD, playstation, pc).

NAVTV FM Modulator and ML unit potential issues with stock speakers

The following option is available for your Japanese/Import vehicle:
1. Nav-TV Video Source
This video source is referred to as the "backup cam interface" or "reverse" camera interface". The RGB2 is an externally wired plug-in interface which interrupts the video signal coming from the GPS computer going to the display. The audio works through an FM modulator and both the video and audio can be activated with an external switch.
There's no chance I'm paying for amps and center speakers and unit, I agree the cost is probably like $2K. Come to think of it, the ML unit will be looking for all those speakers and if they're not there, the sound may be...eehhhh.

We need the TOY01. It adds Audio/Video Inputs.

"no they didnt put the price,, cause they intended on putting in the navi,, but they accidentally ordered the ml,,, they had to change the whole unit by the way,, everything plugs up,, all u need is one little wire that cost a few bucks,, its a video wire if i remember correctly"
Could the Wire that the GS owner wrote about be the wire we're all talking about in this thread?

Its ALIVE!!!
I have gotten it to work.
I own a 2006 IS250 with nav but without ML.
I now have the ability to add a video input to my system.
I made a post earlier about this but since noone replied , i went ahead and did it myself.
I will post a complete diagram of what i did to make it work when i am done.
Here is the link to the video that i took, since most ppl will not believe it without seeing it.
