Default Opening multiple doors

I know I've seen it here, but I can't seem to find it. How do I set it that all 4 doors open when I walk up to the car? I know I can go to the dealer and they can do it, but I saw someone did it themselves...please help.

if you hold the unlock and lock buttons again, will it reverse itself and open just one door?

I had the car programmed by the dealer to unlock (not "open") all 4 doors when I press the unlock button once. However, when you touch the driver's door handle it will only unlock the driver's door, while touching the passenger's handle will unlock all 4. It's be nice to unlock all 4 from the driver's side...

Which brings up an interesting complaint. Why can't carmakers figure this sort of thing out?

"hold the unlock and lock buttons until the car beeps" should resolve your problem

I would guess it's a safety feature. If you are in a bad neighborhood you may not want the other doors to unlock. I think that why on most remotes one push unlocks the driver door and two pushes unlocks the rest.

It's linked in the FAQ stickied to the top of the thread. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=213122

It's also in the owners manual.

Different twist to this thread - how do you get the doors to auto lock after driving over 10 mph ? I know it's in the manual, but I can't get it to work. The default is to auto lock when shifting out of Park. I still prefer to unlock all doors when shifting into Park, but want it to auto lock after shifting in Drive and going over 10 mph. I know the dealers can program the Personal Preferences, but I only have 600 miles and don't want to take it in just for this. Any help/tips would be appreciated. TIA . . .

Use a watch with a sweep second hand. The instructions in the manual are accurate, but when it says to hold a button for 5 seconds, it means 5 seconds, not 4 or 6.
