Default navigation question?

Does anyone know how to keep the navigation from switching to dark mode at night?

I went into settings , it does not let you keep the bright mode(day mode) during the night, must be because of the sensors on the dash

i thought it was triggered by turning on your headlights or by the light sensor in the dash...

Its not in the settings menu. Its the DISP button (display). Hit that and you can set it. It senses off the two black ***** on the driver side right under the windshield. If its bright out, it wont give you the option of day mode ( the button dissapears) , you need to cover the sensor so it thinks it dark out.
