Charging ports
The wireless charger does nothing. I'm surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit. I made a two hour trip with the phone on the wireless charger. It showed on the screen it was charging. After two hours, no change.

Its not that it does nothing, it's just finicky. Most cases, especially MagSafe ones, will severely restrict or flat out disable the charger. Even in optimum conditions, it doesn't really add electrons fast enough to counter the phones usage rate, especially since many are now using wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, which both use a ton of battery.
My salesperson did advise me that it was a very slow charger and if I wanted a fast charge to use the USB-C connections. Also, if you are using any applications on your phone- i.e., Waze, etc., that will pretty much negate any increase in battery as the phone is trying to charge while also running apps.
The wireless charger in mine works just fine every time. Not the fastest of course but it works as intended. A lot has to do with just the thickness of the phone case, state of health of the phone's battery, phone usage while charging, an issue with the charger itself, etc. but it does work. There are many variables but certainly nothing that would warrant a lawsuit.

The wireless charger is too low a power to keep a phone charged when it's using Waze and wireless AA/CP. Your phone will be dead after a good 400 miles of driving. The USB charge ports will keep the phone charged. There are higher power wireless chargers but Toy/Lex chose the original lower power version.
It actually heats up the phone quite nicely. The only time I use it is when I get moisture in the charging port. The heat dries it out quickly.
