hey i'm new here and i'm quickly starting to like the is 300 ...i just want to know if it is the same engine as the supra engine ...is it as strong b/c that would make it a great 500 hp car

Yes. the IS has the 2JZ-GE.. the same as the n/a supra. The turbo supra has the 2JZ-GTE. Toyomoto set up a IS with over 500rwhp. Our engines are very strong. Now the tranny might be a different story... I dont know how much it will hold in stock form.

thanks i didnt know the names of the engines but that sounds like a great idea...i dont think there are many stock clutches and flywheel setups that would handle that much but i love the idea of 500 rwhp!!!
