So this morning when I started up the car the Nav screen was stuck on the start up image, no audio and was not responding to any buttons. Got to a stop light and shut the car off and when I turned it back on it worked fine, Has anyone seen this before? the car is not my daily and only has 6500 miles 2017 GS350 Fsport.

I have a 2017 GS as well since July 2017. My system has locked up twice in that time. Everything works but screen goes blank. In any case, a helpful forum member gave me a tip to reset the system. You don't actually have to turn the car off which is what I did initially. Just push and hold in the volume button on the radio for a few seconds. The system will shut down and restart on its own.
I have owned my 2016 GS for about 15 months now. In these 15 months, it has happened twice that I changed the gear from Rear to Drive but the backup camera screen continued to show for the next 20 miles or so until I shut down the engine and restarted.

Thanks, I will try that if it ever happens again and will have it addressed when I take it in for the 10k service.
Not a fix but OP should be able to press the Vol/On/Off button in and hold it for 4-5 seconds
to reboot the Navigation system without stopping or shutting off the car.

There is an update for the 2016 GS on lexusdriver.com that addresses some rebooting issues I haven't had an issue with my 2016 GS yet but I did install that update
Likely a software glitch. It happens anymore. No system is perfect unfortunately. Public wants more and more features crammed in, and the development time for manufacturers becomes longer to try and perfect it before launch and it becomes impossible to get right because there are too many variables that can cause errors. Every car company is dealing with these problems now.
