Default Navigation screen problems(RX350)

Has anyone had problems with their nav screen in their RX 350? Sometimes shortly after I turn the car on I get a different menu option than what I most recently had up. So, let's say I had the audio screen on, I turn on the car, and all of a sudden the menu screen will pop up or the climate screen.

I asked the dealer to take a look and they said it tests out fine and told me it must be a fluke. It's driving me crazy. And, it happens every so often so it's hard to re-create the problem. I've also had it happen where I'll press the climate button and the Nav screen will pop up, etc. Any suggestions?

Certain screens aren't "sticky" and are overrided. I usually leave my display on audio, and EVERY TIME I start the car, it goes back to what it was before audio, which is usually map. This also happens when shifting into reverse (so the camera comes up) and back to drive (goes back to whatever was up before audio).

There's at least one more display option that behaves this way, but I don't recall which one. It's annoying as hell, but it's consistently annoying, so I've learned to deal with it.

Default RX350 Screen Changes

You can set the screen to automatically return to the Nav page. Or you can set it to stay at any page you want. And you will have push a button to get it to change.

Its under the settings menu. Its the same page as the color changes.

Thanks for the info. I was getting ready to freak out on the dealership. I'll have to research the settings menu information.

We did notice that it happens when we go from reverse to drive and get different screens after the camera screen goes away.

I have the auto-switch disabled, and there are still two items that don't survive an engine-start or reverse->drive event. I can leave it on "Display", but not on "audio". If I go to display, then to audio, then turn the car off, when I start it, it will be on display. But it usually jumps back to map or climate because those are the two I use most frequently besides audio.

This does not work on the 2020. Even the Lexus dealership admits its a known problem. I don't NEED a full map when I am driving around town. I just want to see what radio station I am on.....
