Default trunk won't open

I went to open my trunk the other day by pressing the button on the trunk, and nothing, key in my pocket with a fresh battery (replaced in June).

I then pulled out my key and pressed the trunk release on the fob and again nothing.

I then went to the trunk release in the dash, and again nothing! !!

I ended up pulling the key blade out and using that.... so inconvenient. ..

Has anybody else run into this problem? I've heard about the button melting but not this.
I did also check the fuse for the trunk release and it's still good...

Did you inspect the mechanism with the trunk open?

you might have hit the button in the glove box by accident. simply look for it and push it.

Excuse me? What button?
And my car does not have a manual key hole to open the trunk.

you should have it, you might have so much road dust and dirt covering up your trunk keyhole which it can't be reach through any car wash, and do NOT try to stick your key in there without cleaning dirt off first, you wouldn't want those dirt in there

There is a trunk lock button in the glove box.

Look at the license plate light area on the rear trunk...you should find a keyhole on the left going up into the trunk. I didn't realize it was there when I got my GS too.
