For some reason today the trunk on my 09 IS250 will not open. It will not open via remote, the button on the trunk, or the trunk release button inside. The only way it will open is if I manually insert the key in the keyhole of the trunk. It was fine just yesterday. Any suggestions on what I should do? The only thing I can think of that may affect my trunk is my HID MOD. If this was the case though, the trunk release problem should of surfaced when I did the mod 2 months ago, right?

 

may be the release mechanism... should try to bring it to the dealer... unlikely to be because of mods

 

Did you try the glove compartment button! It happend to me once by accident.

 

hey can you elaborate on what you did to fix it? hopefully i have the same issue you did

 

in your glove compartment to the left there a button. that is for when you go vallet your car and give them the key fob but not the actually key. it disables the function for them to enter your trunk and glove compartment. the button is fairly sensitive and i pressed it by accident a couple of times reaching in and out the glove box.

 

Inside the glove compartment rigth down the opening button is a little black push button for valet parking use try it it should be the fix.
