So as I been trolling the site for awhile there's a few things that I have discovered about my car:

1. power tilt needs fix
2. possibly trunk issue

What I would like to know is how is the trunk supposed to operate?

Meaning is it supposed to go all the way, which I'm leaning to no. When you close, is how far down should it go before it catches? For me its darn there closed before it snags and finishes it off for me.

Last question I know there's many post and I can't find what I need, but does anyone know all the part numbers for the Moog inner and outer tie rods, and end links?

I can comment on the trunk, I have an 07 as well. It closes near all the way prior to catching and snugging down. As in I will lower it to within about 3/4s of an inch from closed and it latches / seats itself from there etc.

That would be a normal operation.

What power tilt function are you talking about? Steering wheel telescope/tilt or side mirrors reverse tilt down? What is it doing/not doing?

 

For the side mirrors going into reverse.

 

dont know about the 3rd gen gs trunks but for the 2nd gen theres a way to adjust the power of the trunk and how much it springs open.
