Ok, fellow CL members,

I have a quick question regarding the trunk.
When you pop the trunk using your key or button on driver's seat, is the trunk suppose to open up all the way?
Mine seems to just open barely and I have to use my hand to raise it up.

I noticed my friend's camry just goes up all the way when he pops the trunk.

Since I don't have any extra IS to try this, can you guys confirm whether it goes up all the way or not? I know this is not big deal but I just want to make sure if my damn trunk is working properly.

I'm glad it doesn't open all the way. There have been a couple of occasions where the trunk has accidentally popped due to buttons on the fob getting pressed by other keys and junk in my pocket.

 

Im glad it opens lyk that bcoz i can wait for suspicious looking ppl to move along b4 i open my trunk fully.

 

Yea mine only opens a little too. I undecided as to how I feel about that.... I could argue either way.

 

It opens barely opens up but lift it a bit and it will open up all the way by itself. I think the lift gate opens it up at a certain point. Just like the hood.

 

I wouldn't mind if it opened all the way just by hitting the button. I wonder what the best way to do that would be, if you decided to install something yourself. Since it continues by itself after a point, you wouldn't need to have it do 100% of the work - just get it to that point.

 

mine doesnt actully open at all...just unlocks.....there have been times where i wouldnt mind it opening all the way...i dont mind it the way it is...
