ran into a problem today, put in a cd, was listening to it, roughly 30 min later it stopped playing.. (non-ml) the cd wont eject, and it wont read.

i have tried switching between am/fm/cd to see if itll help re-read, also restarted the car and attempted to remove the cd nothing happens. I have not tried to put in another cd. But when i hit Load the indicators keep flashing red.. anyone know of any fixes?

if not will probably take the car into the dealership later this week if it doesn't come out =\

 

i requested to take mine's to the dealer... after a little while the CD will pop back into place and you'll be listening to music again, not that this is recommended but i hit a bump or something and the CDs started working again, i think it got jammed or something, did you try to switch cd's in the 6-disc case?

 

seems like the cd is jammed. when you hit the eject or load button, do you see the cd slot open? if so, try to get another cd from outside and try to push in a bit and see if that helps. i read that someone was randomly trying and got the disc to eject

otherwise it's dealership time...

is it a burned cd? if so, make sure there is no label and such on the surface. the changer is very sensitive to the thickness of discs

 

mmm was kinda scared to put in another cd, ill try it when i go back home next week, thanks for the help guys

xxgokuxx- i couldnt swap out any of the discs but will see what happens later this week

rominl - not sure what you mean by open cd slot. when i hit eject or load, the red lights just flash then go away dont think i can put in a new cd. yea the cd is burned, but no labels

 

definitely don't try to put in another one. what i mean is try to use another cd to push at the opening (or anything of that kind of strength and thickness), trying to unjam things

take a closer look at the cd opening. normally there is a door covering the opening (for obvious reason). when you hit the eject/load button, normally the door will open up, and then the cd comes out, the light on sides of the opening turn green, then you put in a new cd.

right now it seems like the cd is jammed, that's why the lights are red for a while (until it times out) and then the lights go off. but the door should still open (unless the door is broken as well) so that should expose the inside. during that time, you might try to use another cd to push in a bit trying to unjam the cd and see if it comes out

 

I will say go to the dealership and have them take a look at it for you.......

 

+1 dealership time =] but like rominl said... take another cd and try to push it in a little bit and wiggle around, hopefullythe cd will go back into place! good luck
