Default headlight problems

i noticed for the last past week that my driver side headlight would go out, then when i turn the light off then on then it would come back on. so now like every thirty mins or so it would go out, i took car to dealer and he stated that they left the lights on for an hour and light never cut off, left the dealer and within 45mins light are off again. i noticed that when i have my fogs on too they would go out in bout 10 mins and with fogs off they would stay on about and hour without going off. anyone had this problem or know what it might be

On my GS350, they did replaced my driver's side HID bulb as well; but it was due to flicking instead of going off.

Still it is too soon for a new vehicle having this kind of problem!!!

a mirror motor breaks.
a headlamp breaks.

makes me wanna go get a simple car like a Camry.

If they keep this up, they won't be any better than Mercedes.

They also replaced my Hid bulb. Take your car back to Lexus and have them replace to HID bulb. Hopefully that can stop the problem from ever happening again!

Exact same thing happened to my GS. Fisrt it occurred on the driver side and then in the same week after they replaced that HID bulb, it occurred on the passenger side.

It would sputter out as you describe and on/off flick of the lights would set them back on temporarily. It took 4 visits to the dealer b4 they finally replaced the bulb on that side. Now they want to run me through the same "rigorous" diagnoses that wasted my time in the past instead of just replacing the passenger bulb.

Of course I take it into the dealer; they run it (with a short drive too) for 3 hours and it doesn't fail, and 10 min out of the dealership it fails for me.

they have to run it through bullshat sequences due to warranty protocol. Otherwise they might not get paid.

yea i just got back from the dealership and they replaced the hid bulb. had to wait two hours they said they had to make b4 they replaced bulb. bc bulbs are expensive. so i went to parts just to price the HID bulb and are yall aware that one bulb cost $495.00 for the dealer, thats insane. my 2002acura Rl HID light was only $130.00. so does lexus have some kind of special HIDs thank god for warranty
