lexus doesn't sell a ton of LC's of course and the convertible is 3x more popular than the coupe. dealers were adding adm for the last couple of years, but now seem to be at msrp. but supply is so limited anyway and used ones with low miles are 'relatively' plentiful, so a lot of people get used. but if you saw 3 NEW LC's in a showroom, i'd say that's very unusual or a big dealership, or a mistake on their part (or cancelled orders).

I haven’t seen any LC’s sitting in showrooms for maybe 2 years, and at least starting with MY23(not sure about earlier), it is order only, the dealers (here in Vancouver) don’t even order them unless they receive a deposit for the order.

S Class is much more. The S580 STARTS where my S560 with options was priced, an S580 optioned like mine is $15,000 more than my S560 was, $138k or so vs $123k

I would, unless you can get another new one for the same payment or price.

still though. That’s still very reasonable. I was looking at Land Cruiser price history and it increased about 10% annually. New LCI X5 is also about 10% more. So it’s not bad compared to these Toyotas. In any case APR is also the other factor. So I decided to keep this one for now. I got it for about 15% less than msrp. So can’t beat that.
on a different note, thanks for the share. It’s broadcasted to have a chance of rain tomorrow but I couldn’t resist. So easy to use and the smell is not bad/strong as some others.

Based on your recent service experience, best find a good indy mechanic first.

I don't think $138K for an S580 optioned like mine is very reasonable. Its dramatically more than anything else remotely comparable, a 760i is WAY less, even a Range Rover is a better value, quite frankly.

Looks great! And look at the lack of orange peel! BMWs have much better paint than a Mercedes.

Its a great product, that whole line I'm very impressed with.

I may buy out my X7 next year when my lease is up. Nothing out there right now that I love and the crappy lease deals has me thinking real hard about buying it out considering I got a good deal on it.

I think so too. I tried to look for the orange peel you guys were talking about on mb but couldn’t find it. It’s pretty strong too. Got hit by a door the other day but no mark left. I will try some other stuff too.

Western Washington decided to have some snow Thursday night. Was driving just fine then, bam, all of a sudden you see nothing but snow covering the highway. Doing about 55, maybe 58, I realized I needed to slow down so I tried to, gradually. I brought it down to 45 when I started to lose control. I crashed into a guard rail at just over 40. Curiously, the air bag did not go off. I thought for sure I was going to be at least seriously injured, but nope. No broken bones, no cuts, nothing at all.

Car is in horrendous shape. Will have a picture for ya'll in the morning. It's funny. I was going to snap a pic of my "new to me" car but I never got around to it because of the awful weather. Was going to get it nice and cleaned up, waxed and all, then show it off on here. Unfortunately the only pic of my Avalon will be with the entire front smashed up.

That is terrible but as long as you or anyone isn’t hurt that’s all that really matters.

Sorry to hear of the mishap. Glad you're all right. Sounds like the road was not treated before the snow froze on it. Apparantly the ABS and VSC (vehicle stability system) was not enough to prevent loss of control (assuming you did not have them turned off). And the fact that the airbag did not deploy only verifies what the safety-engineers have bene telling us for years.....that the seat-belt/harness assembly is actually the primary restraint-system, not the airbags themselves, which are considered secondary. That belt-assembly probably helped save you from harm. Or, your vehicle may have had one of those defective Takada air-bag assemblies.

Sorry to hear that...glad you're safe.

If the airbag didnt go off, you didn't need it.
