Love the new LX. Can’t say it’s not exclusive and doesn’t hold cachet. It may not compete well against a Navi or Escalade but it’s not really designed to honestly.

It needs a V8, that’s my only problem with it. If only Toyota didn’t cancel V8s…

I have mine open currently. I'm doing cleaning/maintenance on the new car and that involves snaking all sunroof drains, greasing the rails, carefully cleaning the windbreaker, and applying silicone grease to seals.

Once that's done I'll be closing my built in leak point and doing the rear one....and then they will stay closed.

I'm totally done with paint corrections now, it was actually not too bad and I didn't need to really compound anything other than one spot. most of it was able to be returned to good condition with polish and clay...now I'm finishing up and putting the ceramic on and moving on to interior. This is also why I hate going out in the rain lol!

Agree, such a cool engine! Don't know if I'd like the spark plug bill on that, but it's probably worth it.

I've always sorta like those A8s... almost rented one when my wife and I went to Chicago. Ended up renting an XF instead, which was also a great thing to tool around in for the weekend.

Thanks! King Charles Cavalier.

I appreciate the thick leather and tough materials inside the LX even if he’s a great car dog. As if they figured owners would haul dogs and stuff around almost lol…..

That is a cute pupper!

I may have to take notes. Wife has been thinking about getting a dog for a while. Our cat doesn't exactly enjoy car rides. But she seems like a BMW fan. I may be able to convert her given the right selling points.

Yeah. Good one. I’d be scared of the bill too. Very short mileage interval as well.

On a plane on my way back from Orlando, interesting had a hard time finding a rental car that had CarPlay. I was originally given a new Sienna XLE and was very surprised to see it had no CarPlay! Wound up in a 4 cyl GMC Acadia...which was pretty awful.

That doesn’t seem right. I had a new Sienna LE rental and it had CarPlay.

Yeah that’s weird. The Corolla Hatch rental I had last week had wireless Android Auto, and I presume CarPlay as well.

Although it's definitely smaller inside than a minivan, I'm surprised you would say that, as the Acadia is a pretty nice crossover, although one of GM's more unreliable vehicles. The only really crappy thing on it I'd complain about are the transmission buttons, although on a long trip like that from Florida, you would probably be cruising most of the time and not pushing them.

While I agree I'd rather have the available N/A 3.6L V6 (the same engine, with cylinder-deactivation at cruise, that my former Lacrosse had), that 2.0T four, like most 2.0Ts, is refined and packs a decent punch for its size. It has as much, if not more, torque than the V6.

That primary-instrument cluster, BTW, is also the same one that was in my Lacrosse.....right out of GM's parts-bin.
