but there aren't as many issues with the DRIVERS of competitive vehicles, blinded by musk spells, into thinking their cars have 'full self driving' capability, and then attempting to get in the back seat for fun.
There may be truth to that, I would be interested in knowing though if there are more accidents in Tesla vehicles with this tech than in other carmakers' vehicles with this tech. No way to know that unless you focus the investigation on the tech and not specifically on Tesla.

i've no doubt as LeX2K's graph from somewhere showed, that tesla's are considered 'safe' cars. But with such bold claims made by elon musk, people are going to get overconfident and do stupid things. May not move the needle significantly in crash stats, but given the hype, they're going to get a disproportionate amount of attention.
Senators ask FTC to investigate Tesla’s ‘Full Self-Driving’ promises
... The Senators are particularly concerned with how Tesla has been charging customers thousands of dollars for what it refers to as “Full Self-Driving capability,” despite the fact that buying that package does not make the company’s cars fully autonomous.
“Tesla’s marketing has repeatedly overstated the capabilities of its vehicles, and these statements increasingly pose a threat to motorists and other users of the road,” the senators wrote in a letter published Wednesday. “Accordingly, we urge you to open an investigation into potentially deceptive and unfair practices in Tesla’s advertising and marketing of its driving automation systems and take appropriate enforcement action to ensure the safety of all drivers on the road.”
After years of looking the other way, regulators might finally be getting around to caring about Tesla's deceptive self-driving claims.
and
Thanks to years of the company's misleading marketing of the "Autopilot" and "Full Self-Driving" packages—as well as the frequent wild claims by the extremely online CEO Elon Musk such as the prediction in 2019 that there would be one million Tesla robotaxis by 2020—owners perceive it to be far more capable than it is.
And just when you think it couldn't get anymore hilarious, check this article out - Elon revels a Tesla Bot, but couldn't present a functioning model so they dressed a human into Tesla Bot suit instead.
The short term thinkers don't get it, same people that said Tesla would die, be bought out, never sell, never sell in volume, never make a profit. The pattern continues, maybe some are simply incapable of learning? A.I. day was awesome especially how Tesla is tackling FSD this is amazing stuff. The super computer cluster they designed is on another level, and Tesla is making their own purpose built processors for the cluster.

Toyota has robots as well with AI. Had it for years. They were on full display at the Olympics and they were working. Tesla is not doing anything special but it is a great idea to keep up with other companies. It would go far but is a cool idea.

Toyota and Honda have actual robots, Tesla has an androgynous clown dressed up as a robot, lol.

Lets not imply that Musk was pretending the person dancing in the robot suit was real lol. It was clearly meant to be funny, and immediately after it left the stage Musk laughed and said, "obviously thats not real".
Toyota has a robot that is programmed to shoot basketballs...lets not pretend they have an AI robot and have had it for years that does autonomous tasks. They don't.

It was a proof of concept and technology showcase meant to bring engineers to the event to recruit them...lol. He even said on stage, if you want to work on cutting edge technology, please come to Tesla to the AI engineers present. I thought the stuff they showed really showcased how different they are vs. other traditional autos. They designed their own supercomputer using in-house designed semiconductors. They are easily leading the way on computer vision and their version of autonomous auto is vastly different than anyone else leaning heavily on computer vision and AI to mimic human behavior. If they get their version working, that AI can be leveraged to that robot which is really just a science project. I think its pretty great for the company to allow engineers to expand their scope beyond auto into other areas...engineers love to do stuff like this.
I find it hilarious that Elon's fear of AI also drove the spec of the robot...its slow and kinda weak and he mentioned specifically that it was built so that humans could over power it...lol. He really thinks Skynet will happen.
