As I posted the other day in the Lucid thread, the Lucid is still very quick, it delivers better range and offers faster charging and more. It’s an extremely well rounded offering. Increased performance on the Lucid is likely only a future software update away.

And again, if you look at performance, build quality, range, charging and luxury, the Lucid wins in at least three if not four of them (the toss-up bring build quality, because we haven’t enough experience of Lucid in this regard although it is highly likely to win that one).

Jury has to remain out on technology as certain key Lucid features like driving assists aren't fully rolled out.

We all know the Plaid is compelling. But so is the Lucid.

My LS430 sunroof used to rattle a tad on the right rear side and squeak occasionally but it just needed some lubrication around the rubber, I don't really count that. Solved myself YEARS ago in 5 minutes and with a $10 product. Still tight as a drum. LX is a chunk of granite, doubt I'll ever have a problem there.

My old GMC doesn't have any rattles even.

And I AM one of "those people" who would go CRAZY over a rattle. Just as much as the rest of you.

Having driven in big GM SUVs from that era, I have a hard time believing it doesn't have any rattles, I think you likely are just not that sensitive to them. Your LS and LX I'm sure are very tight.

the roll race (8:08 in the vid) was pretty cool to see, and rawlinson himself said the lucid is more geared for the highway so understandable it did better in that race

anyone know the tires/treadwear on the plaid? are they still high treadwear to get most of the range or did they go with a softer compound? either way, launching like that all the time has got to wear down the tires drastically. i suppose it's the same for super cars.

i always wondered: if you're a journalist, who pays for the tires? the company you work for or the manufacturer that loaned you the car?

Not for Tesla. They don't have press cars. The cars that are reviewed are typically private cars. The only exception may be Motortrend that has a special relationship with Tesla. Weird.

They buy them, I'm guessing the revenue they get from their Youtube channel. I'm sure they can and do re-assemble them

so i see from scanning the second video at least, that they really didn't do any tear down, just took off a couple of covers and speculatively yakked for 20 minutes.
