I saw that in the autoweek article. just PR running their spinbots to try to mitigate the terrible optics.

^^^^^ Also, the article does not say, but that image looks very much like the Pennybacher Bridge on Route 360 in the western part of Austin, Texas. I can tell from the shape of the bridge, the size of the river (and boat-ramp), the rock-bluffs on the side of the roadway, and from I remember about Austin from having lived there many years ago. Western Austin is a very picturesque area...on the sharp Balcones Ridge that marks the edge of the Texas Hill Country to the west.

Saw a whole slew of Sienna's today.

Pretty freaking nice....some great materials and a very nice place to spend inside...I can't believe the fuel economy is the exact same combined as my 14 Corolla at 34MPG and 240hp...awd on every trim....Interior IMO is nicer that the Platinum Highlander....I would say its nicer than an RX as well

I am not sure if I like the screen being angled towards the driver. Front end is not as nice on the lower spec models.

Pretty sure it's 36 city/36 highway/36 combined.

No offense, but are you being serious? Several reviewers have panned the interior materials in the new Sienna as being ultra-cheap. Of course, you are free to disagree.....to some extent, that is subjective.

Perhaps those lightweight materials inside are one reason why it gets the fuel economy of your '14 Corolla.

OK...your opinion respected.

BTW, I was just going by what some reviewers have said.....I myself have not reviewed it.

Yeah the biggest knock I've seen on the interior is that the steering wheel is only half heated. The sides are, top and bottom are not. Otherwise it's been pretty universally positive from what I've seen.

From the reviews I have seen the interior impression seems to have a lot to do with the trim level. Higher trims seem very nice, lower trims seem very cheap.

I plan on going and checking one out soon.

The 3rd row cup holders literally came apart during the KBB Youtube review.

Due to health issues I'm shopping minivans (needed for a scooter lift in the rear) and checked out the new Sienna earlier this week. At 6-4 my head literally brushed the roof when in the driver seat of a sunroof equipped model. That alone disqualifies it for purchase. Other disappointments were the lack of the rear vent windows that were on the previous generation and, most inexplicably, rear bumper covers that are not body colored. Apparently, this is supposed to be some sort of styling accent, but it looks atrocious.

I don't think any of the new minivans have the ventable 3rd row windows anymore.

It's amazing to me how many of these new ones I've already seen around. I think they look good in person and would definitely very seriously consider one if we were in the market.
