I did pickup/deliver for Lexus service for years without any issues at all. No dealer was convenient to my home or office, but they would come to my office and pick up and drop of the car--super convenient; no lost time during the work day.

Same here. I have the time to take either of the cars in when they are due for service etc. If I was still working and in a time crunch I might look at it differently, but overall prefer not having a stranger drive the car.

Haha, sorry guys. I was so busy last week with work I wasn't able to bring anything home for her to choose but the Odyssey or even look into anything else myself. I will do more this week, I promise!

Pick up and delivery, a lot of dealers are doing it now to spur business, but in normal times that is decidedly a luxury car perk.

Yup, even the Chevy dealer contacted me about pick up & delivery for service on the Camaro. That’s unheard of on a brand like Chevy. I’m actually glad - this is forcing some of these turds to work at customer service & earning their money!

Good customer service at a Chevy shop is not unheard of by any means. I'd like to point out that the so-called "Turds" at my local Chevy/Buick/GMC shop not only give me excellent service (One reason why I'm a repeat customer) but free washes with every service...and, in most cases, simply on request.

My limited past experience with Chevrolet wasn’t good. This particular dealer is part of a national chain & they were horrible. They got a new general manager & it’s like it’s a whole new store now. He changed everything, & I’m pleased with them!

Well, you're correct that management can sometimes make a world of difference. But I've also seen shops where the rank-and-file treat the customers very well, but work for an ***-hole as their boss.

Steve.........just one more comment from me before you make your decision. I'm not sure I'd want to buy (again) from a dealership that dumps a big box full of ignition key/fobs on the floor, and then gets down on their hands and knees when they they want to find one LOL.

If they're the cheapest, then I'll buy it from them lol

The Honda store that quoted you $40,250 for an Odyssey Elite is the cheapest! Even with a 20 plus year relationship with a Honda salesman, I can't come close to that number here.

It appears, at least based on Odyclub owner reports, that Odyssey prices in the Maryland are the best in the U.S. at present.

Are you able to get dealers to come out to you for test drives? I was at a BMW dealer about a month ago and although they advertise it, the sales manager said they're not really staffed for it and that they have hardly had to do any home deliveries because most people are just coming into dealership.

I haven't really asked, I'd rather just go over there and be in control of the timing myself

Steve, don't recall anyone asking if the new Aviator might be a fit for you? Probably pretty similar in size to the Palisade. Good styling (to my eye), interior looks nice - could that be one you consider?
