For his wife? Come on.....she probably wouldn't use one tenth of the Hellcat's available power. And, don't forget, Steve and I are both in the congested D.C. area, where speed limits even on Interstates are 55 MPH, and traffic conditions sometimes don't even allow that.

I was kidding I can't imagine a Hellcat Pacifica being a good idea. I also live in a major metro area, so I completely understand.
I've enjoyed this thread more than I should, and got a great laugh from this post. I can hear the conversation that occurred in your home, except the voice I hear is my wife's.
Enjoy that new Pacifica!
Haha, glad I could bring some laughs!
So negotiated the deal at the dealer, they of course tried to screw me multiple times but we got it where it needed to be. I had the Lexus with me, not the Pacifica. So my wife brought it down and swapped cars with me. Gave them the first months payment and went home. They brought the new one up to me and drove off in the old one. Signed the paperwork in my garage and completely skipped the finance office so nobody tried to sell me anything.

It should come as a surprise to no one that my new 2020 Pacifica will be delivered within the next 45 minutes lol.
Details to follow.
As much as I read your posts saying you weren’t going to get another Pacifica, after reading the requirements your wife wanted it seemed like the only logical choice. I was hoping you were going to wait for the 2021 though but I’m sure deals on the 2020 were hard to pass up. What are the details on this one? Is it the sporty one with the nice graphite colored wheels?
That’s how I bought the Tacoma. I negotiated via email then they brought it to my house and we signed on an iPad right there. So easy!
He had paper documents to sign, but it was great!
Congrats on the van. You have a beautiful family.
Thank you so much!

No, for 2020 the AWD only comes on a special AWD launch edition that is only a Touring L model, and its like $4k. I think not having a brand new FCA AWD system is probably for the best given my experience with the brand lol.
You can also tell whose van it is going to be.....look at that purse-bag sitting on the console.
Yup!
Sure do.
Thank you!

oh and congrats... will be interested to read about the differences.
I did! Should have listened to you from the beginning! I do like sleeping in my bed.
This one has a couple features the other one didnt have, it has the Harmon Kardon audio which actually sounds great, big improvement there. It also has a trailer hitch which the red one didnt have. Rides a little better, could be because the suspension in the old one was shot lol. Same crappy Falken tires.
Tech is an upgrade, has Apple CarPlay, also has the ability to stream to the rear screens from your phone and a WiFi Hotspot. Nav is better but with CarPlay we will never use it.
I will get it all cleaned up and post some pictures. I like the light interior, lets see how it holds up.

I would have preferred the 2021, but like with the AWD, the 2021 has an all new infotainment system, probably better to stick to the tried and true. My hope is this will be reliable since its been out 3 years without a major change. The 2017 also was going to need tires and brakes, and all the crap wrong with it I just didnt want to screw with it. They traded me out of the 2017 even, gave me $8,000 off the 2020 and the payment is $10 less for a van with an MSRP of $2k more.
Congrats on closing the book on this deal. Skipping the finance dept. would be a big plus to me as well. I know I don't want anything they're selling. Cute picture with the kids saying goodbye to old car.

LOL couldn’t agree more about the finance department. That’s probably the worst experience when buying/leasing a car. They put the full court press on you and try and make you feel like a moron when you don’t buy a bunch of their BS packages. It’s like they are offended you aren’t buying their BS.
