As long as they continue to lease these for $299/month, you'll still see them everywhere. My first car when i turned 16 was an 01 IS300. I later upgraded to an 06 IS350. The latest generation does nothing for me. I've had it for a loaner many times, and it just doesn't compete with the C-class, 3 series, A4, etc. A friend recently bought her third VW GLI, and I would go out on a limb and say that car drives and handles better than the current IS (she has the model with adaptive suspension).

Such a long press release for something that there is only few things to say about. Triple LEDs are coming to US this time, too bad Lexus has only one image of them.

Text press release:

2021 LEXUS IS: Agility and Athleticism Expand Pure Driving Performance

STILL using the 6 speed automatic for the AWD version. Are they serious?

Feels like they're selling the Shimoyama test track than the car itself.

BMWs on their 3rd different engine in the 3 series. They also went from 300 hp to almost 400hp vs the IS which went from 306 hp to 311hp in the same timeframe. Let's hope the V8 or V6TT makes an appearance next year.

Thats equivalent to an additional 100 hp and 2 gs in lateral grippin force.

Lexus reminds me of a middle aged, middle class man, who is not happy with his life but is too afraid to make any drastic changes.

I lurk more than I post but good grief I have never seen someone who has to be more contrary about every. Single. Little. Thing.

Anyway, Lexus hyped this up for much ado about nothing.

Looks like no turbo V6 only carry over 4-cylinder and the NA V6. Lexus has become super lazy.

If that's the case, they may be doing a great job connecting with their customers because that may be the only demographic they'll be appealing to... :P

The refresh looks nice, hopefully they'll add a higher performance engine option at some point. Offering the LSD with the F Sport model is nice as well, IMO.

The only good news from this is that they got rid of the ugly Nike sign from the headlights. And they would apply this new styling to all new models.

Did anyone watch the video interviews? Lexus dodged all questions from the journalist with a non answer. Complete waste of time listening to them.

Question around IS competitor benchmark - didn’t answer.

Question around touch screen vs track pad. Didn’t answer.

Question around IS F. Didn’t answer.

Question around what differentiates the IS. Couldn’t explain.

Wow. Just wow.

Completely agree when this is scripted why include questions you are not going to answer

Coming back to car itself I think they did a really good job with the exterior and stance looks really nice probably my favorite in this segment currently

Not only is the power disparity huge but so is the fuel efficiency.
How does Lexus still use 6speed Auto when they spent huge $$$ developing cutting edge 10speed auto and a 3.5L V6 turbo?!?

3years past already and its still only been placed in the LS500 - never seen such waste of resources for a mainstream automaker.

Imagine the buzz if this IS was being introduced with 400-450hp 3.5 V6 turbo.

Reading between the lines, sounds like Toyota has done all the necessary chassis tweaks to one day have the IS500 or IS-F come back n

Lexus Corp, if you're listening and watching the forums. I'm disappointed in the debut of the 2021 IS350.. Lexus had a huge oppurtunity to upgrade the IS to a V8 or Turbo V6. Why did you guys use the lame-o-same-o V6 that been around for 15 years!!! (With the discontinued GS, I was hoping the IS would take its place in the lineup and refresh with newer technology.. Opportunity was blowned.
