I will need the 2LT to get the Front Axle Lift. Also need the Z51 package to get it's 0-60 in 3 seconds. Magnetic suspension and the exhaust. So about $77K before the actual "luxury" customizations. Looking more like a $80K car than a $60K car... With that said, still a super bargain for the performance. But that was the case for the C7 too. Need a badge delete option tho.
price hike for 2021? They have done it in the past within just a few months of release. Dont get too excited over the price. Rumor is they wont be making the bases until later on in the model year. If they hike the price even once in the first half of the MY like they did for the C7, the $60k price was pure illusion.

The previous-generation Corvette Stingray originally started life as a $51,995 machine in 2014. A few months later, the price jumped to $53,993, then to $55,995 in 2015. There's a pattern here, and if demand for the C8 Corvette is as high as Chevy thinks it will be, the $59,995 price isn't likely to stick around long

This is not false advertising.
Corvette is a regular model that GM has officially stated they will build a TON of. Therefore eventually supply will exceed demand and significant discounts will be available.
They are planning for more extreme versions a la Z06, ZR1 etc and those will probably have higher profit margins.
Like you, I live in the suburbs of a major metro, which means that there are 7 Maserati and 6 McLaren dealers within an hour's drive of my house. Chevy dealers are literally everywhere. In less-populated areas you indeed might have to go hundreds of miles to find a dealer of one of those exotics. But you won't have to go far to find a Corvette.
There are 4,200 Chevy dealers in the US. For most even moderately-populated areas, chances are there's another dealer within 10-15 miles of the first.
