Perhaps I should not have referenced myself twice. What I meant to say was that some people may have reasons for maybe preferring the Supra. There seems to be an attitude here that those who shelled out a lot of money for a new Supra will have Buyers' Remorse now that the new 'Vette is out. While that might be true in some cases, I don't totally agree.
My point wasn't so much buyers remorse, it was more about spending 90K on a car with a 60K MSRP, when there are cars like this C8 out there that start at 60K. You have to be some sort of ultimate fanboy weirdo to pay that much over MSRP on a car that will be sold for under MSRP in a few months. It's idiotic.
If you prefer a 60K Supra to a 60-70K C8 fine. But to pay 90K for the Supra you have to be a moron.

Oh, I agree....90K for a 60K vehicle is certainly not common sense in my book. And, over and above that, I wouldn't spend 90K for either one....but, with the 'Vette, other issues are involved as well.

I also am quite aware on the bose hating thing, it has always been from older guys though. My friends (all younger than 25) have a positive view on Bose & their products. Wonder why. The Bose speakers on my 2019 2SS camaro absolutely bump, it is a party every time I drive the car. I also have Bose sound link mini II for the house and it fills up a whole room. While I workout I use my Bose soundsport free wireless headphones and they are great, but I am on a 2nd pair to due technicalities due to extended sauna exposure. Whenever I go on an airplane my Bose quiet comfort 35 always make sure I am comfortable and clear of annoyances. The trick is to use ear plugs & the headphones and it is almost pure silence. I don't work for Bose but I love their products. I also have a soundbar for my tv that works great. GM uses Bose for a reason. It is great. Unfortunately I found out a base C8 is going to start @ about $57k and my camaro stickered for $53k (paid$48k) so idk feeling kinda bummed but just love my chevy.
People love to hate on Bose and I think it's really, really stupid.
The best factory systems I've personally ever heard were Bose.
The Bose in my truck is amazing.
I have a Bose soundbar that was expensive but it rattles my house down if I crank it enough.
I'm sure the C8 will have an amazing Bose system.
Most people hate Bose mainly because of their cost vs performance mainly for home theater. When you compare their expensive home systems their products can’t compete and are expensive for what you get. With their smaller products like a sound bar, mini, etc. they sound good to me.
I have a Bose sound system in my GTR and it’s ok. I can also say that the Beats system in my Durango is awful, the Harmon Kardon in my BMW is ok, and the Mark Levinsons in all of my Lexus’ over the years were just ok with the exception of the ones in my LS460 and LS600hL. Those systems were phenomenal for a stock system.
Don't really find the styling all that good looking, looks okay, maybe it will look better in person, interior looks pretty cool and is unique. It is a amazing value but the price worries me that there may be too many corners that were cut to get a new mid engine 8 cylinder with a DSG to that price. I was expecting around 90-110K for a mid engined Corvette which still would have been a pretty good value and them also selling the front engined version to keep it around 60K.

Bose is expensive but you get what you pay for. My Bose soundbar was like $500 but I've never heard another one that comes even close.
I've had wave radios, etc. and they really do sound great for the size.
The Bose in my 16 year old truck is one of the best factory systems I've heard, easily. Completely annihilates the stereo in my LS.
I would have loved to have heard a Nakamichi stereo back when they still had them.
But not trying to send this OT. The Bose system in the C8 looks to be great, if you even need it. That small block behind my ears is all the music I'd ever need.
The large size of the Car Chat audience and posters usually means that there are a number of buyers and potential buyers for various vehicles at any given moment.
This shouldn't surprise anyone, since we've already seen a diagram of a twin-turbo V8 with the turbos mounted to the side and below the cylinder heads. There's tons of room in there.
