Vans are hard to beat for sure, we know we will have less space we just want to get as much space as we can.

My wife is in Colorado right now and just picked up her rental car, a Durango. She says its too small inside. Been a while since I saw a Durango inside but I remembered them being pretty spacious...

They will feel small vs a van, headroom and greenhouse do not feel "big" vs your van. It's about the same effective size as a Q7/XC90

I will have to take a look at a Durango again, she didn't feel like the GLS was too small.

The Gl/GLS is unusually large feeling inside, they packaged everything really well and the seating positions are also very efficient. It's practically full sized inside with the exception of cargo space

Interior color also effects perception a lot, light is "airy" and all that lol!

The GLS is very well packaged I agree. TX/GH is also well packaged, as is Palisade/Telluride

The latter two surprised me at how overall good a product they are. For function and intended buyer they are great even if they aren't something I would ever personally consider

Yeah, I'm completely lost now.

It would be cool if the OP can give a running list of makes & models of what is still being considered.

I know the Escalade is too big.

Yeah, esepcially seeing how small the exteriors really are.

Still considering it, don't love how they look and the leases were terrible, I hear they are getting better.

Everything is still being considered lol. Very early in this process still, all I have driven are the XC90, EX90, Rivian and the TX. GLS we drove back before we got the Pacifica. My wife hasn't driven anything yet.

Palisade/Telluride are great. People seem to love everything about them until they have to deal with the dealerships and the corporate.

I am so jaded by warranties of any sort it's bad. I just assume I don't have one unless dealing with 4 very specific companies lol

Purchase the Pacifica so you can buy time and wait for the MB VLE!

Mercedes just dropped the new VLE van and it’s coming here. EV only. Looks amazing.

That's actually not a bad suggestion. I agree it is worth considering. You have already had a fair amount of experience with your Mercredes dealsership, and know the people there. And, once you actually have the title to the Pacifica, you have a lot more options.
