Steve's Pacifica replacement thread
I agree!
They are putting the 6 cyl PHEV into the GLE but no mention of the GLS...
Its a great time to snag a GLS because the big refresh is coming next year...
I highly doubt I will get my wife to agree to anything that doesn't plug in though. She will want to keep the Pacifica vs that

I’ve had my $100 on him getting another gas vehicle back when there was an EV chat forum 🙃
You just have to do what I've done most of the time - go buy whatever you think makes sense, bring it home, and tell her "honey, I bought you a new car... hope you like it"
. So far, 100% success rate (that includes 4-5 cars)

My Dad did that one time. My mom gets very attached to things...hence why she still wont give up that old ES300 even though I have offered to buy her a new car. We had a 1987 Ford Aerostar van and he and I wanted a new Explorer Limited, the refresh Gen 2 95 model. She just would not give up that van. So one day he got in it and said he was going to go get it washed...and traded it in for the Explorer lol
I would have to live in whatever I brought home lol

Friend did something similar. Told his wife they were going to go check out couple vehicles at the dealership. However he told me, the Escalade they were in wasn’t coming back home 😂 and it didn’t.
there is no chance I could do this because (1) every time I'm shopping for car for my wife, there's some feature or option or something that she doesn't like that wouldn't ever have occurred to me would be an issue (like the shape of the headrest...); and (2) we tend to keep cars a while, and for 6, 7, 8 or more years, it would be MY fault that she has to deal with whatever it is that she doesn't like.

Hot dogshit or letdown are all subjective. Some of our reference points here are totally inaccurate when lined up with the potential buyers. Take the RX, GLE350 for instance... Sure it's no fast 0-60 but that may not be what the buyers want. These SUVs are hot ... potatoes. Same with GX. IMO, it is a fine SUV. This would definitely be my 3rd GX... if I didn't wander off to the dark side.

I hope that new Explorer wasn't one of those Firestone-Wilderness roll-over-specials.
