So...I'd have to buy the TX but since we're not going to keep it beyond 3-4 years regardless the payment is really the focus, and it just makes more sense to get the GLS for the same monthly outlay
How about buying it to get what you want now and possibly sell it in 3-4 years for that next big thing?...

Financially that doesn't make sense for us. It would be way costlier to do that probably and it complicates things from a tax perspective. Even if the lease deal isn't great leasing is still better for us because of the tax situation. Plus buying it would raise the payment even more.

If I'm paying $1,250 a month we'll get the GLS.

Contrast to the TX, comparing a TX500h with the same powertrain same terms MF of .00255 (6.17%), residual is only 60% and the payment at $78k MSRP paying MSRP is $1,217. $377 a month more for a vehicle $17,000 more expensive.

Interesting that they are giving more lease support to the Toyota when you would think Lexus buyers would be more apt to lease...

EDIT...to make it even weirder, the new deals for the TX550h+ that just came out in March are better than the deals foor the 500h! 65% residual, .0026 MF, plus a first payment waiver...so that makes an $85K TX550h+ $1,189 a month, or $28 LESS than a $7K cheaper TX500h that you can find in stock .
Are you ready to go TX 550h+ hunting?

You can't trust those online mfr website calculators, I just ran the numbers.

Note this is with 11% off MSRP, which is available from a broker.

MSRP: $121,890, Cap cost: $106,482 (11% off plus $2k in lease incentives), residual 53% MF .00044 (1.06%), taxes and fees all rolled in.

36 months:

48 Months:

That is a KILLER deal.

My wife actually would love the GX, we had a 4 Runner as a loaner once when the Pacifica was in the shop and my wife surprisingly really loved it.

I haven’t really looked at the latest one, I will do that.

CX-90 has great lease deals, will check that out too as a couple people above suggested

I see you're throwing in non PHEV as options. The new Tellurides looks nice and seems to be similar in size to the Grand Highlander. They have a hybrid option and I believe generally have good lease deals although its such a new model they may not have good lease deals yet.

I mean he currently has a Chrysler so at worse it's a sideway move lol

I remember before Steve got his S class he was concerned about getting an S class because of what people may think, I think it was being looked at as pretentious. Look at him now lol.

Durango is not Tahoe big in my opinion, it seemed smaller than my X7 and both fit in my small garage pretty easily.

I do think a good candidate for Steve would be a GX550. I love that SUV and it isn't too large and not too expensive.

I've read the PHEV system in the CX90 is horrible, would like to hear your opinion after driving it.
If non hybrid/electrics are possible, what about the MDX? They normally lease great.

LOL, I wouldn't get the 580 for my wife, I would get it for me!

I would definately get something mainstream to replace the Pacifica, doesn't have to be a luxury car. I'd like to get her something luxury branded though for work.

Yeah I have kind of read that too, and only 25 miles of EV range.

I'm going to try and drive a Vistiq today
