Lexus brand was mostly dead to me, not anymore. Y'all looking forward to the new ES being touted by Lexus as the new luxury flagship?

Not unexpected.

Not to sound snarky, but it seems like a lofty goal to sell even 250 of these in black with a bright red interior.

And that's the end of Lexus as a serious brand. It was a good run though, time to embrace the ES as the "flagship" product

I predicted this when this gen came out without a V8 and much smaller interior than what it had previously.

Toyota Japan has done everything to kill off Lexus brand.

They still have the LC500 which carries the original Lexus philosophy of Pursuit of Perfection. The only thing stopping me of getting one is that it’s a Lexus and I can’t custom order one to my spec. Otherwise it represents all the great things about what Lexus was meant to be.

that wasn’t the original. That was the 2012 slogan. The original was “The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection”

It seems like Lexus might find 250 buyers in the U.S. Maybe some crazy mark ups initially. If so, they'll come down after a while. I've been wrong before.

?? The LC is the only Lexus that you CAN custom order. That's literally what the Bespoke edition is.

As to the main story, disappointing, but not surprising. If the current model weren't such a departure from what an LS should be, I bet there'd still be a market for a 6th gen.

Gotta love Lexus's names for paint: Ninety Noir. What would be different with this compared to Obsidian?
